Restaurant.com is a company that allows people to use certificates to purchase coupons to help save money. I was given a certificate and never redeemed it because the app was confusing, and I got frustrated trying to figure it out.
I decided to redesign the app to make it easier and more convenient for users. I kept the original logo and brand colors but redesigned the user interface to make it easier to follow.
HOW IT WORKS:
Users purchase or receive certificates as gifts and upload to the app, creating a balance that can be used to purchase coupons without having to leave the app or enter additional payment information.
Users can search for deals to purchase, using their certificate balance, and redeem at the participating restaurants. They can filter their search and keep track of their favorite restaurants. Once they have purchased a coupon they can scan at the restaurant to redeem immediately, or choose to save them for later.
